For Immediate ReleaseHigh Park, CO--Fire fighter resources are strained, families are displaced from their homes, and pets are orphaned from the fires in High Park in northern Colorado. To help, anyone can donate $10 by texting the word HIGHPARK to 80108.
“Donations will be allocated to organizations providing immediate disaster relief to those impacted by the High Park fires,” said Jenifer Snyder, executive director of The mGive Foundation. “At this point, the there is no text donation campaign established to offer assistance for the these fire victims, so we need to step in and offer a donation channel that helps our community come together immediately for our neighbors in need.”
The mGive Foundation started right here in Colorado and operates mobile text-to-give campaigns all over the world. More than 85% of all text donations are processed through The mGive Foundation. Most recently, mobile donations for Haiti and the tsunami in Japan were processed through The mGive Foundation.
“In our past work with campaigns for the American Red Cross, we’ve learned that when a community wants to help in the face of a disaster, money is the most important donation to provide relief,” said Snyder. “The mGive Foundation will ensure mobile donations are paid out quickly to nonprofit organizations helping those most in need.”
If you are a nonprofit organization providing disaster relief for the High Park fire, please contact The mGive Foundation at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how to become eligible for these funds.
“The mGive Foundation creates every day philanthropists,” said Snyder. “Nearly 100% of adult Americans have a cell phone. Giving to those in need, like victims of the High Park fires, is only four clicks away.”
