Cancer kills 1500 Americans every day. Everybody knows someone that has been affected by cancer. Will you stand up and say “ENOUGH!”?
This Friday, September 10 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, 7:00 PM CT, George Clooney, Gwyneth Paltrow, Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Renee Zellweger, Stevie Wonder, Lance Armstrong and many more celebrities from TV, film, music and sports will come together to help raise funds for the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s (EIF) Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) program, an initiative dedicated to accelerating innovative cancer research. This one-hour fundraising event will be simulcast live and commercial-free on all networks and several cable channels, including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, E!, HBO, Showtime, and VH1.
This year, EIF has partnered with mGive to give viewers and supporters the ability to easily donate to this crucial research with a simple text message. Supporters can text the word STAND to 40202 to donate $10 to Stand Up To Cancer, knowing that 100% of donations will go toward collaborative cancer research.
In 2008, the Stand Up To Cancer event helped raise over $100 million; but there is still so much to be done... Please text STAND to 40202 to donate $10 and visit http://su2c.standup2cancer.org/ for more information.
The fight against cancer continues. Will you Stand Up?
