Take a look at what charity: water did with their YouTube videos, or Epic Change with their thank you cards. On the surface, investments like these seem high. mGive was delighted to attend the annual Blackbaud conference for nonprofit fundraisers, “BBCON 2013.”  Our staff had a “super” time, which included meeting with attendees and discussing how to become a mobile superhero (see our Facebook page for some real action shots!).  A highlight for us was presenting with Ann Maier from the National Geographic Society on Using the Mobile Channel:  What the Man of Steel Can Teach You About Mobile.

March is Music in Our Schools Month: Keep the Music Alive With a Text!

March 18th, 2011: March is Music in Our Schools Month and with 13 days left in the month, there is still plenty of time to support music programs for today’s youth. The National Association for Music Education explains that state and local legislators are attempting to make up for funding shortfalls in this difficult economy by cutting education budgets, which places school music at risk. Appreciation for music in our schools began in 1973 and in 1985 it went from an advocacy week to an advocacy month. Each year a theme is chosen and this year’s theme is “Music Lasts a Lifetime.”
