mobile donationsThis weekend, politics were put aside to help raise money using a brand new vehicle- Mobile Donations. We have already seen The United Way raise over $1,000/ second during the Super Bowl and The ASPCA raise money through their direct response mechanisms to fight cruelty against animals.  Keep a Child Alive raised thousands in mobile donations with Alicia Key's during her As I Am concert tour. Mobile donations for The United Way, The ASPCA, and Keep a Child Alive are powered by mGive.

It is a turning point when politicians, possible future leaders of the free world, make calls to action for mobile donations.  Barack Obama sent out a text message asking supporters to text 'GIVE' to 24357 and also placed the message on his website. On the Republican side, Mike Duncan, chairman of the RNC asked delegates to pull out their cell phones to donate.

Initial reports indicate that over $1 million was raised through this effort.

This monumental step for mobile donations not only bridged the political divide, it empowered thousands of supporters around the nation. We will keep you updated with any figures that come out of this campaign.

In the future, expect to see more and more organizations raising large dollar amounts through mobile donations.  To be one of the first organizations to utilize mobile giving or for more information on the mobile donation process, visit
