Everyone loves a good competition, especially when it’s for a great cause! mGive is proud to be partnering with Brackets For Good (aka BFG), a bracket-style fundraising tournament that helps nonprofit organizations raise much-needed funds and spread awareness. Think basketball’s March Madness, but for non-profits!
Are you ready for tip-off?
What is Brackets For Good?
Brackets for Good is a charitable, online fundraising tournament that starts March 2nd and lasts for a total of 5 weeks. Sixty-four local charities with a 501(c)3 status have been hand-selected to compete for weekly donations in hopes of winning a $10,000 unrestricted grant from BFG’s presenting sponsor. The best part? Every organization will get to keep the funds they raised during the tournament, no matter how far they go in the competition.
It’s a win for everyone!
How does the tournament work?
Charities get paired in a competitive match-up against an opponent, going head-to-head to receive the most points for that week. Donations made to each organization get turned into a point value ($1 = 1 point). The winner with the most points then moves on to the next bracket to face off with a new competitor the following week!
How can you get involved?
There are 13 markets across the country, each with local charities that need your help to win. Go to www.bfg.org to find your closest market and learn more about all the charities participating in that region. You can then make winner predictions and build your bracket to play in the game!
Want to help your favorite charity (or charities) win? Make a donation to help them advance to the next bracket. The points reset back to 0 each week, so make sure to keep coming back to show your support. Every dollar counts!
